I’m so excited to able to offer art camp for the first time ever, this summer! Not only is it art camp – it’s sculpture, clay, paper, and paint art camp!
For Summer 2022 I’ll be offering two art camps that combine sculpture, clay, paper, paint and artist study. Both are week long camps with an optional lunch period with friends, and a parent exhibit on the final class day!
Week One: Sculpture, Clay, Paper, Paint – Sweets & Treats

9:00 – 11:00 am – Ages 5-9yo
12:00 – 2:00 pm – Ages 9-13yo - COST & FEES: $99
Week Two: Sculpture, Clay, Paper, Paint – Birds & Bugs

In Sweets & Treats we will learn about:
- Claes Oldenburg, a Swedish-born American sculptor, best known for his public art installations featuring large replicas of everyday objects.
- Peter Anton, an American artist and sculptor, best known for his sculptures around the theme of candy.
- Wayne Thiebaud, an American painter, best known for his colorful works depicting commonplace objects, many of them food-related.
In Bugs & Birds we will learn about:
- Ellen Giggenbach is a New Zealand artist and graphic designer, best known for her colorful mid century inspired animals.
- Raku Inoue, a multidisciplinary artist, from Montreal, Canada, known for his recent works created with organic materials like flowers, leaves and stems depicting various species.
- Emile-Allain Séguy, professionally known as E.A. Séguy, was a French designer during the Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements of the 1920s. He primarily created patterns and textiles inspired by the natural world.
Days:
Day 1-
- 1st hour: We will start on sculpture 1.
- 2nd hour: We will start on sculpture 2.
Day 2-
- 1st hour: We will start on sculpture 3.
- 2nd hour: We will continue work (part 2) on sculpture 1.
Day 3-
- 1st hour: We will continue work (part 2) on sculpture 2.
- 2nd hour: We will continue work (part 2) on sculpture 3.
Day 4-
- 1st hour: We will continue work (part 3) on sculpture 3.
- 2nd hour: We will continue work (part 3) on sculpture 2.
Day 5-
- 1st & 2nd hour: Add finishing touches on all sculptures. If time allows, we’ll work on a quick forth project.
- 3rd hour: Small Art Show! From 2-3pm on the last day of camp we will have an art show/exhibit that parents can come see all of the sculptures the students have done.
Location:
Camp location is in LEESBURG, VA and will be emailed to parents after enrollment.
Supplies:
All supplies will be provided.

In both camps, students will gain further understanding of the elements of art and the principles of design regarding composition. They will also explore a variety of artists, techniques, art processes, and materials including, but not limited to, sculpture, color theory, modeling, assembly, painting, and two & three-dimensional design.

Please note:
- All of my art classes are open to all religions, races, ethnicities, and diverse backgrounds. All are welcome in my classes.
- I cannot guarantee that the artspace is free of allergens, but the space will be wiped down and sanitized before and after class each week.
- Lunch Period: between the younger morning class and older afternoon class there is an open 40 minute lunch time from 11:10am-11:50am. Feel free to have your child pack his/her lunch and stay (or come early) to eat with friends! Parents are welcome too.
